The woman was made from the side of the man to be a helper "opposite" or "against". This highlights the woman's role to not only support the man (sustenance for the body, clothing, etc.) but to question and challenge. This process makes the two "one" whole. In addition, she reproduces with the hopes of replicating the image and identity of the man while growing the body of the family unit. Feminine qualities redirects a portion or entirety of the action and purpose of the man toward herself and the family. By advocating the needs of the weaker (herself, her children, the poor), the masculine force (dominance, building, adventure, conquest, war, etc.) is checked and challenged so that others are integrated into his systems and structures. The result being more egalitarian, diverse and complete.
