Feminism
As someone who formerly identified as a feminist. Feminism is anti-woman. Here's how I came to that conclusion.
Feminism promotes the idea of the independent working woman who has equal social and economic footing as the man. This is based on Western philosophy and assumptions in which identity and value are almost exclusively connected with your job and independence. That’s kind of ironic for progressives, who are typically anti-western and anti-capitalistic.
Elevating the idea of the working woman inherently devalues motherhood, which is the one fundamentally feminine thing that exists. This is the chiefest irony.
The role of homemaker is part and parcel of motherhood, else it is stripped to its barest aspect - child bearer. Conjure in your mind the radical feminist. Does she allow for motherhood? Begrudgingly, because it would be impossible to persuade women against their biological impulse, and perhaps to avoid population suicide. The role of homemaker is looked down upon. It is in opposition to her freedom, her career, and therefore, her value.
The thinly disguised disdain for homemaking and the idealization of the career woman lead us to two motives the state has in promoting feminism.
-
The fact that prior to this movement, 50% of the population was un-taxable.
-
The outsourcing of child rearing to the state. Full control of the population is granted by permitting the indoctrination and conditioning of its youth. One such example is the lie told to young girls (and boys) that they will be primarily fulfilled through their career while teaching them to obey non familial authority unquestioningly and preform work for a designated period of time in a dull, entirely artificial environment with a factory-inspired bell.
The replacement of the husband's role by the state.
Economic provider.
Mediator between the woman and society with its power structures and systems.
Protector against the vicissitudes of nature, beasts, and violence.
Employers (back to capitalism) benefit from feminism because flooding the workforce with job seekers has allowed them to keep wages low. Because women are generally less assertive when it comes to wages, they can also pay them less. Women with children are more content to work part-time, which means that they don’t have to provide benefits.
The Socialists and Communists have always postured themselves as feminist. Disruption of the workforce, as mentioned above, is one of their tools to bring about change. Not to mention that they gain automatic footing with 50% of the population.
On “conspiracy”. It is probably incorrect to claim that the feminist movement was created by any particular group for some nefarious purpose. Complex events such as these often have multiple contributing factors and may even seem to spring up spontaneously. The confluence of events, sentiments, time, and place, are sometimes enough to bring a movement forth. That said, a movement can be started by one group with reasonable motives and then be found useful to another group with different motives. All organizations do this but it is a stated tactic of socialists and communists who particularly use social unrest to forward their agenda. Anything that an organization or philosophical camp finds to be in its own interest can, without conspiracy, be favored and advanced using any influence its individuals can bring to bear. An organization is by definition a group of people with shared interest. When the benefits are obvious, it does not need to be stated, and even if it were stated, it would not be public. Women’s suffrage may well have been organized merely by those seeking women’s right to vote. The benefit of aligning with feminists is obvious. For example, the political parties whose values most align with feminine sensibilities automatically gain a certain percentage of voters.
Feminism has advanced in waves, each driven by a different focus. The ability for organizations to forward a movement should not be underestimated. Propaganda (advertising) can be used to sway masses.
Regardless of the motive behind the feminist movement, the true test is its practical effect. Minus the ideals and their implicit assumptions - identity and value through career, social status, independence. where is the average woman mentally, socially, economically compared to where she was 100 years ago.
Feminism takes the women out from under the headship of the husband who loves her and places her under the headship of the corporate manager who has no duty toward her.
